Home School Art Day

Build A Bird House. Learn about Eastern Shore Birds and their requirements for living in a bird house, then build and paint a birdhouse.

Children’s Open Clay Studio

5:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Kids can come and work at their own pace. Artist/Instructor will facilitate and help answer questions and provide guidance as needed. Students must have taken a clay class to participate.

Drawing Comics: An Introduction

March 18
10:00 am – noon

Introduction to basic storytelling, page layout and panel construction. Familiarity with character drawing is suggested but not required. Traditional, western format at tabloid size will be used. Reservations required.

 Fantasy and Whimsy: Chickens, Crabs & Oysters

Ages 6-10

Beginning and intermediate levels
Children will work in a variety of different media including clay, paper mache, paint and paper to create whimsical characters influenced by chickens, crabs and oysters.

Family Workshop: The Chicken and the Egg Dying Workshop

April 16

$15/children and adult members  $20/ not yet members
Join to dye and decorate Easter eggs. Each person will take home 1/2 dozen eggs and create other chicken art projects. Reservations required.


Pottery: Early American Vessels

April 5, 12, 19 & 26
Wednesday afternoons

City Builders: Visiting the Past to Create the Future

Using old photographs and postcards, after taking a walking tour of Downtown Salisbury children will build a scale model three dimensional city.

Drawing: The Flora and Fauna of the Eastern Shore

Equipped with a sketchbook, pencils and watercolors children will learn the basic techniques to draw the owers native to our region.

Woodcarving for Kids: Duck Decoys
