Summer Art Academy FAQs
How early can I drop off my child in the morning?
Doors will open at 8:45am for morning session drop-offs.
Are supplies provided for the camps that I sign up for?
Unless otherwise stated in course descriptions, supplies will be provided to participants who sign up for our summer camp sessions.
Which age groups does your camp serve?
Summer Art Academy at SBY Art Space has a range of classes serving young artists from grades 1-12.
Does SBY Art Space provide lunch for students?
SBY Art Space does not provide lunch, but we do provide healthy snacks for each day of camp. Please let us know if your child has any food allergies we should be aware of. Parents or guardians may also pack lunch for their child, or bring snacks to share.
How should my child dress for camp?
Throughout the summer our students will be engaging in hands-on art activities which could lead to some messy outcomes. Make sure your child is dressed in clothing that one wouldn’t mind getting messy in, while making sure to also dress comfortably for warmer weather. We do have air conditioning in our building so perhaps packing a light sweater or sweatshirt could be necessary for your child.
Will my child be outside during camp?
SBY Art Space is situated within walking distance of educational options in downtown Salisbury, including galleries, libraries, and art non-profits. Instructors may choose to make use of these resources as part of their curriculum. With sufficient time and communication, instructors will inform and obtain permission from parents if they choose to venture outside SBY Art Space. For specific questions regarding this, please contact On-Site Coordinator, Leah Albright at salisburyartspaceinfo@gmail.com.
